Vandita Shrivastava

I am a self-taught artist and for the past 17 years, I have been making paintings and crafting designs for stone sculpting. My initial years of paintings depict tribal and folk art in different styles of “माण्डना”, showcasing the intricacies of Indian tradition, culture and faith using line work. As I travelled across different countries, I was inspired to transform the technique of line work to reflect the landscape beauty of India and these countries. These paintings stress on a black background and use line work to bring out the vivid colours, serene views and a spiritual edge that mother nature encompasses across this planet. I continue to specialise in folk and tribal art while developing this new line of landscaping.
