About Natu Foundation Mandu
Natu Foundation was established as a way of giving back to architecture and society through sustained engagement with art, architecture, and heritage. Rooted in the Natu family’s long association with architecture, fine arts, and visual arts, the Foundation brings together professional practice, research, and cultural responsibility.
Founded by Ar. Udayan Natu and inspired by the values of Late Ar. Shri K. V. Natu, the Foundation’s work is centred in Mandu, widely regarded as an architectural pilgrimage of India. Through art and architectural research, the Foundation contributes to the conservation of Mandu’s heritage, including the identification and documentation of lesser-known sites such as Budhi Mandav.
Alongside heritage research, Natu Foundation facilitates architectural learning programs for students, engages with the local tribal community through cultural and livelihood-linked initiatives, and supports public and scholarly engagement with Mandu’s history. As part of this ecosystem, the Foundation also operates Forest House, Mandu, a Madhya Pradesh Tourism registered forest stay conceived as an extension of its cultural and educational philosophy.
